About

The RIMS Chapter Awards recognizes chapters for exception strategic planning and achievement of goals. All Chapter Award winners will be awarded a cash prize in recognition of their achievements:

• Chapter of the Year: $2,000
• All other Chapter Winners: $1,000

Submission Process

Use the award submission form to outline your goals to enhance chapter outcomes. Show progress towards attaining these goals and any challenges that you encountered. Please share lessons learned, as well as successes.

Chapter best practices will be shared with fellow chapter leaders and honorees will be asked to participate in the RIMS Chapter Leadership Forum at RISKWORLD 2026. Best practices include:

• Creating SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic, Timely)
• Timing to provide for adequate planning (e.g. setting goals 12 months ahead of award submission)

Track your progress and email your completed application to Eric Bernard, Director of Member and Chapter Engagement, at ebernard@rims.org on Friday, January 16, 2026.

Recognition

RIMS will review each submission and select a Chapter of the Year and up to four (4) additional honorees. They will be recognized at RISKWORLD 2026 in Philadelphia, PA.
