ATTENDEE HOUSING POLICIES

• You must be registered for RISKWORLD 2026 before your hotel reservation can be confirmed. Hotel reservations are processed on a first received basis and are confirmed based on hotel availability. 
  

 

• If you elect to pay your RIMS registration fee by check or bank transfer, know that you will receive an email confirmation, badge ID number, and the link to housing immediately. Subsequently, your check must be received by March 27, 2026, to secure discounted rates and to retain your reservation.
  

 

• All attendee registrations must be active and paid in full at the start of the event.

• Hotel reservation requests must be guaranteed with a valid credit card at the time of booking. Credit cards must be valid through June 2026.
  

 

• Registering for 10 or more rooms? If so, please contact Connections Housing directly for assistance. A paid-in-full registered attendee’s name and badge ID number must be provided for each room. 
  

 

• Attendees are strongly encouraged to wait until after Monday, April 20th to contact their hotels to make changes or cancellations. 
  

 

• Don’t be a no-show! If you do not arrive on your scheduled date, the hotel will cancel your entire reservation and may not reinstate your reservation, even if you arrive the next day. You will be charged the penalty of the cost of one night's room and tax, regardless of whether or not the hotel reinstates your reservation.
  

 

• The hotel cancellation policy will be strictly enforced. Please retain the cancellation confirmation from the RIMS Housing Bureau, or the cancellation number provided to you by the hotel, as this proof of cancellation will be required to dispute any credit card charges. 
  
  

Please note: if you cancel your registration for RISKWORLD 2026, RIMS reserves the right to cancel your hotel accommodation.

Instructions to Access the Visa Support Letter

• Once your registration is confirmed, you will need to login at the Attendee Service Center at www.RIMS.org/ASC.

• If you forgot your RIMS password, you can access your auto-login in your approved registration confirmation.

• Go to My Briefcase/Documents on the left navigation menu.

• Attendee Visa Letter of Support is located under My Briefcase/Documents.

Visa Integrity Fee FAQ

• When does the fee take effect? October 1, 2025. Applications submitted on or after this date will include the new fee.

• How will travelers pay the fee? The U.S. government hasn’t finalized the process yet. Details on payment methods, refunds and required documentation are still pending.

• Does this apply to all countries? No. It applies to travelers from countries outside the Visa Waiver Program — including China, Mexico, India and Brazil — who need a B-1/B-2 visa for business or tourism.

• Will this effect renewals? Yes. Even travelers who have visited the U.S. before will pay the fee when renewing an expired or expiring B-1/B-2 visa.

• Why is this happening? The fee was introduced under a federal budget law to offset costs and reduce overstays. It’s also part of a broader effort to tighten U.S. visa compliance.
