Community Impact Award
The Community Impact Award (formerly Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Chapter Leadership Award) recognizes chapters that demonstrate outstanding leadership in cultivating community, professional development, and leadership within the risk management community.
Now accepting nominations for the 2026 Community Impact Award.
The deadline to complete the submission form is Friday, January 16, 2026.

Guidelines
Recognition
The winning chapter will be awarded:
- A cash prize of $2,500 in recognition of their achievements
- Participation in leadership forums and other RIMS events throughout the year
- Honored at one of the RIMS events during the year
Submission Process
Chapters should highlight initiatives that support DEI, rising risk professionals, and students; foster community connections; advance career opportunities and professional development; and promote effective succession planning within the risk management community Submissions should include:
- Detailed information on all chapter events, programming, and initiatives that strengthen professional development and community engagement (e.g., number of attendees, participant demographics, feedback).
- Metrics wherever possible to demonstrate impact (e.g., student participation, mentorship pairings, volunteer hours, partnerships formed, career advancement outcomes).
- Supporting documents, metrics, and examples where applicable.
The Community Impact Award winner will be recognized at RISKWORLD 2026 in Philadelphia, PA.
