RIMS Adds Alternative Risk Transfer Education Track to RISKWORLD®

***RISKWROLD – May 4 – 7 – CHICAGO***

February 11, 2025

NEW YORK (February 11, 2025) – Recognizing that more and more risk professionals are exploring innovative strategies to protect their organizations, RIMS, the risk management society®, added an all new Alternative Risk Transfer Education Track to the RISKWORLD® program. RISKWORLD, the largest gathering of risk management professionals and industry leading companies in the world, is set for May 4 – 7 in Chicago.

Currently, seven sessions comprise the RISKWORLD Alternative Risk Transfer Education Track (sponsored by Alliant). The track will cover captive management, parametric solutions, sureties, limitation of liability agreements, as well as other transfer strategies. RISKWORLD will feature more than 115 education sessions, with seven education tracks, to address a wide range of evolving risks and best practices.

“Central to risk management’s success is the practitioner’s willingness to embrace the unknown and explore new strategies that can advance the organization’s mission,” said RIMS 2025 President Kristen Peed. “As a captive leader and someone who has leveraged alternative risk transfer strategies to empower organizations, this new education is an exciting new addition to the already outstanding RISKWORLD program. I am looking forward to welcoming the world’s risk community to Chicago.”

The RISKWORLD educational program is assessed and developed by risk professionals who volunteer on the RIMS RISKWORLD Programming Committee. The Committee is chaired by Andrew Shay.

“RISKWORLD offers exceptional learning opportunities for risk professionals from all industries to more effectively navigate today’s volatile risk landscape,” said Andrew Shay. “I want to thank the volunteers who serve with me on the RISKWORLD Programming Committee and congratulate them on developing a comprehensive program that will, without question, support this community’s risk management journey.”

At this year’s RISKWORLD, RIMS will celebrate its 75th Anniversary. The four-day event will attract more than 10,000 risk and insurance professionals at all experience levels, business executives with risk management interests, brokers, insurers and service providers for the ultimate learning and networking experience. RISKWORLD will also welcome approximately 250 exhibiting solutions providers to deliver the largest risk management-focused, business-to-business marketplace in the world.
