RIMS Immediate Past-President Appointed to Maryland’s Workers' Compensation Benefit & Insurance Oversight Committee

RIMS IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT APPOINTED TO MARYLAND’S WORKERS COMPENSATION BENEFIT AND INSURANCE OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE

NEW YORK (November 2, 2011)  Terry Fleming, immediate past-president of RIMS (the Risk and Insurance Management Society), was appointed to the Maryland legislature’s Workers Compensation Benefit and Insurance Oversight Committee on October 31, 2011 by the President of the Senate Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr. and Speaker of the House Michael E. Busch.

The joint committee of the House and Senate reviews and recommends changes to the state workers’ compensation benefit structure, as well as any workers’ compensation bills that are introduced to the legislature.  Mr. Fleming is the only risk manager on the committee.

In addition to his board responsibilities with RIMS, Terry Fleming is the director of the division of risk management at Montgomery County, Maryland, a position he has held since 1988.
