RIMS Membership Exceeds 11,000; Honors 20 Chapters for Exceptional Growth

Enhanced Educational Offerings and a Focus on

Young Risk Practitioners Drive Membership

NEW YORK (April 22, 2013) — RIMS, the risk management society™, has reached new membership heights – now with more than 11,000 members worldwide – and attributes much of that growth to its local chapters’ commitment to delivering relevant programming, as well as new opportunities for risk management and insurance students. To recognize the success of these chapters, the Society honored them with its annual Membership Growth SuperStar and Star Awards at the RIMS 2013 Annual Conference & Exhibition in Los Angeles.

The SuperStar Award is presented to RIMS chapters that have shown growth of at least nine percent. The Star Award recognizes those with growth rates of at least six percent but less than nine percent.

“RIMS’ chapters are vitally important to achieving RIMS’ mission to advance risk management for our members’ success,” said RIMS Executive Director Mary Roth. “As the place where our members are introduced to our resources, educational programming and truly become a part of the risk management community, we are extremely grateful for the work of these award winning chapters and wish them continued success in 2013.”
