NEW YORK (September 16, 2024)RIMS, the risk management society®, has tapped world-renowned business strategist John Hagel to inspire a global audience of enterprise risk professionals at RIMS ERM Conference 2024. Exploring opportunities to transform approaches to transformation and reimagine business strategies, Hagel’s keynote presentation will kick off the annual RIMS ERM Conference 2024 scheduled for November 18 – 19 at the Hilton Boston Park Plaza.

John Hagel has spent over 40 years in Silicon Valley and has experience as a management consultant, entrepreneur, speaker and author. Along with two other Silicon Valley start-ups, he founded Beyond Our Edge, LLC, a company that empowers other businesses and people to better anticipate trends and achieve greater results. John currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Santa Fe Institute, an organization that conducts leading edge research on complex adaptive systems. Previously, he was the senior vice president of strategy at Atari, Inc., and was a partner at McKinsey & Co. and Deloitte.

John’s eighth and newest book, The Journey Beyond Fear, addresses the psychology of change. Driven by a desire to help individuals and institutions navigate unpredictability and rapid evolution, his RIMS ERM Conference remarks will focus on opportunities to leverage ERM to improve future business outcomes.

On November 16 and 17 in Boston (immediately prior to RIMS ERM Conference), RIMS will host one, two-day RIMS-CRMP Prep Course. As the only competency-based risk management credential, the accredited RIMS-CRMP certification validates a risk professional’s performance ability, technical knowledge, and commitment to quality. The globally recognized mark of achievement represents the standard of education, experience, and ethics that the discipline requires. The RIMS-CRMP is accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (AN​AB) under ISO/IEC 17024:2012.

Registration to the pre-event RIMS-CRMP Prep Course is not included with the purchase of an ERM Conference registration.
