RIMS and Brokerslink Team Up to Set a Global Risk Management Standard with the RIMS-CRMP Certification
New York (August 28, 2024) – RIMS, the risk management society®, and leading global broker network Brokerslink have agreed on a multi-year program to advance a global standard of knowledge and professionalism through the proliferation of the RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP®) certification (ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) accredited under the ISO/IEC 17024 standard).
As part of the collaboration, Brokerslink will deliver both private and public RIMS-CRMP Exam Prep Workshops™ to its global network that comprise over 45,000 professionals in 133 countries. To support this endeavor, RIMS will provide the course materials, instructors, and exam to help Brokerslink workshop attendees earn the RIMS-CRMP certification. The first intensive preparatory workshop will be held in-person on November 12-13 in Abu Dhabi during its annual conference.
During the course of the collaboration, Brokerslink will be recognized as an accredited provider of RIMS-CRMP continuing education credits in accordance with guidelines set forth by the RIMS-CRMP Commission.
"With an increasing number of businesses exploring opportunities in international markets, establishing a global standard for risk management and a baseline for professional excellence in the field is critical," said RIMS CEO Gary A. LaBranche, FASAE, CAE. "Successful risk management is predicated on all parties having a shared foundation of knowledge and expertise. RIMS is proud to work Brokerslink to set that standard and provide Brokerslink’s vast network with the support to elevate risk management worldwide.”
“We’re honored to be collaborating with RIMS, and to be able to offer a selection of their RIMS-CRMP training courses to our network partners and affiliates. Brokerslink is committed to the continuing education and development of its partners and affiliates and their risk manager clients. A shared educational background will only strengthen relationships between insurers, brokers, and corporate risk managers, empowering each group to develop more dynamic and effective programs,” said José Manuel Fonseca - President & CEO of Brokerslink.
The RIMS-CRMP Certification is the only risk management certification in the world to hold an accredited status. It received official accreditation by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) under the ISO/IEC 17024 standard in 2017. The certification covers the following five risk management tenants: analyzing organizational model; designing organizational risk strategies; implementing the risk process; developing organizational risk competency; and supporting decision-making.
