4. Developing Organizational Risk Competency
5. Supporting Decision Making
The RIMS-CRMP certification received official accreditation by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under ISO/IEC 17024:2012 in 2017. The ANSI Accreditation of RIMS-CRMP signifies that the Institute recognizes the competence of RIMS to carry out certification activities in accordance with requirements defined in the International Standards and confirms approval by government and peer review assessments.
The workshop is part of the USC Executive Education Program and will be taught by Ward Ching, managing director — Western Region at Aon, adjunct professor at the USC Marshall School of Business, and vice chairman of the RIMS-CRMP Commission, and Dr. Joseph A. Milan, principal of JA Milan & Associates and RIMS-CRMP commissioner.
“The risk professional is no longer an individual who merely protects assets,” said Ward Ching. “Businesses recognize that strong risk management capabilities lead to a better understanding of risks, opening doors for innovation, growth, and profitability. As the world of risks evolves, the RIMS-CRMP certification demonstrates the holders’ risk management pedigree, as well as their commitment to quality. We are excited to team up with USC and offer this important workshop to Southern California’s business community.”
“The USC Marshall School of Business and the USC Executive Education Program have an outstanding reputation for delivering exceptional learning experiences that reflect today’s business environment,” said Dr. Joseph Milan. “The challenge to mitigate and leverage risk is a priority for every business leader. With case studies and best practices provided by the RIMS-CRMP commission, the workshop will undoubtedly deliver superior insight and empower confident decision-making.”
