Customized Content & Relationship Recommendations

NEW YORK (September 24, 2015) –  To support the expanded role risk professionals are playing within their organizations, RIMS, the risk management society™, launched a new membership engagement resource aimed at streamlining the process of researching risk management issues and building professional relationships.  Opis “The RIMS Information Network” is now available to members online at www.RIMS.org/OPIS.

Based on members’ Opis profiles that will include skills, experience levels and their insurance and risk management interest areas, the virtual engagement platform will recommend reports, surveys, benchmark studies and articles. Opis also has the capability for users to create online “engagements” or discussion groups to discuss specific risk management trends, challenges and opportunities.

“Risk professionals are challenged to manage increasingly complex and emerging risks,” said RIMS Executive Director Mary Roth. “Opis will help members with the risk assessment process. By accessing industry insight and making relevant connections with other practitioners, risk professionals will be well-informed and ready to take action.”

“One of the greatest values of RIMS is its network of risk professionals,” said RIMS President Rick Roberts.  “Opis bridges knowledge across experience levels, breaks down geographic limitations and offers RIMS members an intelligent resource to efficiently share ideas and best practices.”

The Opis platform includes content from RIMS Risk Knowledge library, Risk Management Magazine, the Risk Management Monitor blog, the International Center for Risk Management, the Strategic & Enterprise Risk Center and other industry resources. Opis is mobile-friendly.  A tutorial for creating an Opis profile can be found at www.rims.org/loginopistutorial.
