Letter Provides Commercial Insurance Consumer’s Perspective for a TRIA Resolution

NEW YORK (September 18, 2013) – Pursuant to RIMS meeting with members of the Federal Insurance Office (FIO) regarding the reauthorization of TRIA, the Society delivered an official letter to the President’s Working Group on Financial Markets to be considered for their report to Congress on the availability and affordability of insurance for terrorism risk.

On August 29, former RIMS Presidents Scott B. Clark and Janice Ochenkowski, RIMS External Affairs Committee Chair Richard Rabs and members of RIMS Government Affairs practice met with the FIO to voice the Society’s concerns regarding TRIA’s 2014 expiration.
