A Message from RIMS ACPC Chair

RISKWORLD 2024 in San Diego is 10 months away, but the Annual Conference Programming Committee (ACPC) is already hard at work to make RISKWORLD 2024 the best RISKWORLD ever! The ACPC invites you to submit your session ideas. The committee is always looking for fresh ideas that can educate and inform our Risk Management community on what risks are emerging and to provide insight into best practices for the known risks that we face every day.

RISKWORLD has always been the place for risk management professionals to learn from their peers and to share new ideas, but we need your help. We need our talented risk managers to come forward and share their stories and ideas as presenters. The ACPC wants to see presentation submissions that are put forward with the help of practicing risk managers. Hearing from risk managers is a powerful way to gain new insight and learn new ways to address the ever-changing business landscape. If you don’t have a session idea, but you have a passion for a particular aspect of risk management, please let us know and we can link you up with a panel.

More details regarding the process of submitting seasons will be forthcoming, but you can start planning now. Remember, we are looking for content that addresses new and emerging risks, assists risk professionals of all levels with making career decisions, provides takeaways for best practices, helps our profession grow by strengthening our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Like a good book or movie preview, having titles that draw people in is important. Write a clear topic description that lists clear learning objectives, and avoid being a sales pitch.

Questions? Reach out and we will get your answers. Know a great speaker? Tell us who they are. Together we will make RISKWORLD 2024 the best RISKWORLD ever!

See you San Diego!
